Santa got me this for Christmas.Haven’t had to use it, but fill it with ges and oil and it started on the 2nd or 3rd pull! Very happy so far!

I ordered this in February and have used it several times. I use it to charge a small battery bank with a 45 amp IOTA charger. The generator didn’t like the charger at first, the engine would surge and never settle in. Decided to let it run a bit pumping out my trash/burn hole I have dug. It fills with water when it rains, another reason for the generator. After running it in a bit, I hooked it back up to the charger and it seems to be fine now. Loads it down quite a bit, but no more surging. The recoil start is a weak point though. I started it onece and the cord got tangled up inside. Had to take it all appart and recoil the rope. During this I found the screw in the middle had come loose and stripped the threads somehow. Put that all back together with some JB Weld and so far so good. Thats the reason it only got 4 stars..

The fuel petcock was broken when I received it which was strange because there was no damage to the box. It either was broken before it left the factory or was flaw in the plastic that could not handle the stress of hanging around. Customer service was great and shipped a replacement valve right away. The unit started right up and works like a charm. A fuel tank that lasts all night will be like living in the city next time the power goes out. I will miss mixing the oil but some things gotta go as technology progresses. The only complaint I have is the pull cord is set up for a lefty, and the gas cap is located on the back so I have to turn it around or use a funnel to fill it up. Maybe mine was just put together backwards!

This unit is fine for running light blulbs but dont try to put a load on it.Not a Clean Power Source. When load is added motor almost dies at time or when load taken off motor races. Nice package but I dont think it would hold up a full load. what can I say Live and learn .

Having owned this item for only a short time my review is not that in depth. I can attest to the customer service as being very good. There was a minor plactic part that was damaged on arrival. It was replaced under warranty within several days. The unit runs and works as expected. It will be used to power parade floats over the next few months and I will have a better handle on its durability by December of 2010.
