BenQ had a promotion for the first DLP that I bought, if you have more free bulb, valued at $ 400 with it. After the bulb went out, I tried to replace the bulb free, and they sent me the wrong bulb. I tried to be replaced, and BenQ have said it would give me another. Terrible service, I will never buy any product BenQ again. Peter Lemoine

The projector will turn out better than my expectations, with the default out of the box the image has very good color and clarity is excellent. I mean after the burn time of the projector lamp has a much better color and contrast. I bought an Optoma HD20 and before that was returned due to an overheating problem. So far I have had no problems with this and is very quiet compared to the HD20 projector. The light is very good but limited to a complete dark room. I have not seen the rainbow effect.

I have owned this projector for a month and a half. It worked perfectly with no problems to speak of.
‘Quieter than my Optoma HD65 with a very bright and vivid image.

With a little or a lot of Patience is possible to adjust the color and image to what ever floats your boat.
The W1000 is terrifying and depth of color, along with clarity I have come to really appreciate. This unit uses a 2 times speed color wheel. Sensitive to the RBE may want to look at the HD20 or Vivitek. An LCD projector could be the best choice if you are very sensitive to RBE. The beauty of Amazon is the guarantee of satisfaction.

This is a VERY light projector! It is currently the brightest 1080p projector available under 3 large.
This allows greater scope for the ambient light is present in the room. You can eat at the table and enjoy your movies or shows without trying to eat in the dark because your image is washed out by the ambient light.

I like the fact this unit has the its own speaker. My nephew loves to play Xbox. We just connect the Xbox console directly to the projector and go! Nothing like playing video games on a large screen. The speaker is strong enough without disturbing others in the house.

I spent many hours tweaking and calibrate the image. Here are some settings that may or may not help.
I find for me the best color balance, brightness and contrast until today.

These are the settings 14 ft from the projector screen with wide angle, at 216 and 120 inches Lamp Favi high gain white matte screen. deepen black levels and contrast as the lamp ages. 100 hours of burn-in will make a difference for better skin tones and black levels.

I hope this helps at least one person out there.

I must say that this product is simply amazing! the box I was pleased with the quality of the images and I had to show it to a minimum tweeking “custom!” I just connected my PS3 and played 20 seasons of Simpsons Disc 2, episodes in high definition and let me say that just blows me away, I was granted projecting an image of about 90inches or so and the wall was imperfections. The brightness is perfectly acceptable and was watchabe with the lights on. I set the lamp mode for the economy, and let me say that there is a slight difference in brightness, but you net another 1000 hours of life, the lamp should not be granted before this! The look of the projector is sleek white leather texture and look just perfect! I have one complain though, there is no lens cover, as we all know the lenses are quite fragile and prone to scratches. I’m quite happy with my purchase!

This projector at this moment I am using my computer connected to it through an Onkyo 1007 and that is fantastic. Brightest projector is in this resolution and price range. Plays beautiful film and games like no other. Handles HD and HD with ease. I got it and used it for 1,800 hours so far and the bulbs are good for 4000 but only as a light bulb you can go at any time.

A couple of things the People need to know for a long life span is
    1. Do not switch if you intend to use it only an hour or less.
2 Do not turn off the projector and shortens lifespan.
    3. Do not use during a storm ever seen a light bulb glow bright and then burn?

I turn mine on and use it every night for atleast 8 hours a day . I never had a bulb blow on me always outta three I’ve had. I even went beyond the lifespan of 1800 hours on my second purchase!
    Bulbs />

Even if they give you a light bulb be sure to use it after the first bulb has 100 hours using the second 100 hours

1 on the right bulb: P
2 tries to move past the mark of 100 hours.

Just so know how long and I was I the first to have this projector and reviewed on AVS forum you can see it here.
