People need to know before buying this that, unlike the original Canon, this hood? without a front filter thread. This means you do not? can attach any filter, and the lens cover does not fit securely. for me this makes it useless.

Although as a hood meets at the level of coverage, Camera, light and dust, has some issue where I would look for other possibilities? before:
    1. – The place to put the lens cap does not? user-friendly and leaves the feeling that at any time it appears. Prefer something more? safe and easy positioning.
    2. – If you do not? was put a UV filter on your lens, the space to manipulate the focus ring, between the lens and the hood? very limited, you can? single color with your fingers.

The construction? good but not very comfortable.

Hood will get this? the job done. But everything? threds also made of plastic. Be careful or it will affect things? lost. Not to mention that dosnt give much space to access the focus ring to Canon 50mm F / 1. 8.

I am a novice photographer, semi-pro. I bought the 50mm 1. 8 for my Canon 50D and I was amazed by its highest quality. A friend recommended I bought the hood and I was happy to see that the cut is lens flare from sun or light side!
