Good brand, good service, found a bit ‘difficult to set up the program. The instructions were too short.

Ordered this from Amazon – reviews were good, and Nautilus has a good name. When I unpacked the bike, had two consoles, without giving instructions (manual or assembly) or hardware (screws, bolts, etc.) – must have really bad quality control at the factory. So I contacted Nautilus (which did not respond to e-mail, telephone, but has worked and were Nice) and said they would send me the hardware and said it would take two days to arrive. After a week and a half that had not arrived, so I called them and said they were exhausted and would not be available for a month. A month. Meanwhile, I got the part for the diffusion motion of waiting for hardware that does not arrive for another month? If you actually ships a month will be two months since I placed the order on Amazon that might actually have a working bike. This was a real horror show. Obviously, I invite caution when ordering this product.

I was really excited to receive the Nautilus R514 Recumbent Exercise Bike, but I can not believe how a task which was to put together. My bike is a Schwinn and other exercise was much less effort. The problem with the Nautilus is that there are several addenda to the assembly instructions are printed on separate sheets and only stuck in the manual. If you do not pay attention and lose or misplace one of those loose pieces of paper, you can really ruin the assembly process. It ‘also very annoying that I have started to assemble the pieces removed. I usually do not consider general meeting shall be decided on how to evaluate a product, but in this case I must. It took me several hours to assemble it myself, and I’m pretty good, like assembling things.

For the same bike, it’s pretty good, but do not know what that is cost. The price of this model is about $ 200 more than my Schwinn, but the design and construction are very similar. I found that this model was more robust on a Schwinn, either. He does a couple of advantages for my Schwinn: (1) you must not step over the bar into the seat, not a huge advantage, but I noticed it was easier, and (2) you have a fan, of course you can easily put a fan next to my other bike. It also has what I consider a disadvantage quite annoying, is not receiving the book! I am sure I can create a make-shift book holder to use while I’m on the Nautilus, but it is such a stupid mistake. I do not remember the last time I saw a bike that does not have a place to set a book or magazine.

One thing I like about this bike that comes with strap heart rate and the frequency can be read directly from it. This is much more comfortable and then just using the handlebars. It is not worth $ 200 convenience though.

I think this bike is good, is effective and well done. But not only is nothing that stands out and makes me feel like it is worth extra money.

This is my third bike for home use. This is by far the most quiet / soft all worth $ 100 or so extra. You also get a guarantee much better when you compare the times. The rear seat may be slightly more comfortable (I want more companies make them out of the network), but this is my only complaint. It definitely requires two people to put together and a power screwdriver will save you a lot of time with the installation. Expect about an hour for 2 people to assemble.

I also have a recumbent bike $ 200, and this machine is a gazillion times better.

‘Solid, strong and heavy, but the handle / reel makes it easy to move around the room. < , br />
The pedals are comfortable, although I had to turn the front shorter runs all the way to the back to get them out of the way of knees (I’m short – this can not happen if you’re tall). Both the correct seat and the rear seat is comfortable – even after an hour, my butt is numb.

The heart easily take an accurate reading (this was rarely true cheapie on my bike), the programs are good, and you can save user profiles. The basket is handy for accessories and magazines (or if you’re, your knitting). It ‘easy height adjustment. ‘m Out of shape, but I was always a nice workout in only about 25% of the total resistance, so I think the car is growing with me.

I took off a star because ‘ interface is not great. It ‘very complicated and not very intuitive. The instructions on the screen or a better label would be easy to add and would make a big difference. I have belonged to a gym in a decade, but even then the interfaces were immediately apparent, in order to improve this should not rocket science. Since programming is one of the standout features of a car like this, and what separates it from earlier versions, they should have put more thought into it.

And the fan is small but also absolutely unnecessary. Moves less air from a fan by hand would. Are short and I could barely hear the maximum speed, so that someone with long legs do not feel anything.

The instructions are very easy to follow, but the assembly still a rather long period. I spent close to two hours unpacking it, read the installation instructions and that from me (I am a short woman with the mean force). Every step has been quite clear and I have not encountered any problems. And the car comes with all the tools needed for assembly, which is very cool.

I feel like this is really worth its price. However, you probably would not make the investment until I had used a cheaper model regularly and was sure he would not just become another clothesline (if, in fact, when my boyfriend saw it and said, ‘Wow, what clothes is more beautiful than your old one. “)

Overall, a well-built, quality machine – but for the price they really should have a better UI. (If a $ 10 phone can do, an exercise bike $ 700 should be able to.)
