I have a 9160xl and disappointed by its performance so after explaining that a representative of service Norelco only the information they provided was how can I get a closer shave, I was aware. My old Norelco 3 years still have some hair to pull out failure. So anyway, I just bought the new 1050 to Wally world and is very different. I know no one with different shaving technology in terms of closeness, but I will give weeks try. Comfort is a feeling completely different from 9160 and feel less “manly”. The shaving heads are angled to be accustomed. I do not see much difference now and, if not a differnce to try all the Braun 360.

This was a Christmas gift for my brother. He does like this and is very satisfied. It still has a beard and mustache trimmer that turns out. It feels nice and comfortable in the hand.

I bought it as a gift for my husband. It ’s the worst shaver I ever owned. I ended up getting spare parts for its old Braun razor.
No comparison regarding the closeness in shaving smokeless.
